Christmas is coming up fast, but if you haven’t had the chance to enjoy all the beautiful sights and festivities that come with the holiday season, don’t worry. The decorated Vanderbilt Mansion is leaving its holiday decorations up until December 30th, so you’ll have the chance to tour the stunning historic home and museum even after the hustle and bustle of the holidays is over. It’s the only time of year you get to tour the Vanderbilt family’s private quarters, so make sure you fit it into your schedule!
Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12, but students and seniors get a dollar-off discount. The mansion’s doors will start tours on Tuesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays starting at 12:30, 1, 2, 3, and 4pm. There will also be special 7-9pm Twilight Tours on the 26th and 27th of December, complete with cookies and hot cocoa for guests.
The decorated Vanderbilt Mansion is located along the North Shore on Long Island, so make plans to mark your calendar and stop in for a tour. Whether you appreciate the scale and beauty of the mansion itself or the beautiful holiday decor and light displays, there’s something for the whole family to marvel at during the holiday season.
